Encoding WMV with 5.1 audio in VSX2 Pro

Post by EvilHomerClone »

I tried searching in the forum to locate a previous topic and came up empty. (then i was told i was searching too much....)

I am having problems trying to encode my AVCHD into WMV with the 5.1 audio. These are not "bluray" rips I am trying to convert, these are video files direct from my Sony HD camcorder.

Every time i go to encode, the process just stops, almost as soon as i start. No error's, no crashes, just stops....

According to the profiles, I should be able to do this (had to create custom profiles to enable 5.1 audio options). Am I doing something wrong? Is there a plug in I need to get?

Thanks,

What model of Sony camcorder? Does it use the AVCHD Lite codec? Please right-click on a clip in the timeline or library, select properties and post them back here so we can have a look to see why VS is having a problem with it.
