save audio file

Hi folks I need some advice.
Is there a way to click share then save audio file then save just parts of the audio into files ,parts of the project audio???
using video studio 12, xp pro

While in Project Mode, set a Preview Range by setting a Mark In point where you want the audio to start and a Mark Out point where it will end. Doing so will product a red line above the timeline (the Preview Range). Now, when you go to Share>Create Sound File open Options and choose to save the Preview Range rather than the entire project.
