Ken,
I've personally have had this happen to me on several occasions, and recently. If you upgrade your flash player via an internet invitation to do so, you will most likely have to re-install the flash player version that came with VS. So as John advised, if it 'aint broke, don't fix it..

Tony,
If you're referring to the internet flash player update, first check to see if it affected VS. Launch VS and go to the Flash animation library. Select one, and press play on the preview. If it plays then you're ok. If not then you need to re-install the flash player that came with VS.
You need the install CD, or if you purchased an ESD (download) version, you will need to unpack it to somewhere on your system. This can be done with WinZip or even a freebie like ZipGenius. You right click on the downloaded VS installer file, and from the menu select (winzip) then from that menu you should have the option to Extract. Extract it to a folder. Once that is completed, look inside the folder where you extracted the files, for one called flashplayer7_winax.exe. It generally is kept in the Utilities/Flash Player folder. Run the flashplayer7_winax.exe file, which will install that version. The flash animations should now work again..
