Hello,
I have one question: where Video Studio places the list of available transitions and filters ?
If a new .vfx is copied in the plug-in directory, as soon as VS starts, it recognize it and add to the existing ones.
Now, in case I install a trial filter, and later on I want to remove, how to do ?
It looks like simply deleting from the plug-in directory does not work: it looks like VS has created a list somewhere and does not refresh when some .vfx file is removed.
Any suggestion ?

Not a simple answer, given you first need to answer a question we have. What OS are you running it on, XP, Vista, Win7? They each install programs and files in a different manner. Vista was the first to do this for security. Files are not installed in what we think, or what appears to be the place it is telling us. Those files are protected through its UAC, and only programs that have Admin permission are allowed to access and alter the real files and folders. Those programs are generally limited to installers, and uninstallers. Even if the account your using has Admin permission, Vista does not openly allow you access to them.
There's a folder called Virtual Store. Vista uses this to help prevent files from being damaged or deleted by viral attacks. Don't try to tamper with it or it's contents, this may upset Vista..
If your trial filters have their own installers, Vista is problem pointing it toward the protected area for installing files. Some filters just have you copy/paste them into the VFX or VFT folders of your programs. If so you need to determine what those files are so you can manually remove them. You might check the normal, C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 12\vft_plug folder for them. There is also a folder that contains .dat files located (on a Vista machine) at C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 12\Ulead.dat\Video Filter. Check there to see if your filter program installed a file there. Then of course the Library files are found in the C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 12\Ulead.dat folder. The will have the names like VS_video.dat.

Depends upon your Operating system.
Please click here -->
so that we can then view your system specifications.
Step 1.
Close VideoStudio
Rename the following folder - so that you can revert back to the native X2 files if you later decide to do so.
On a Vista Home Premium machine the folder is found at found C:\Users\Stephen\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio\12.0.
On an XP machine it is found at "C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio\12.0"
Step 2.
Open VideoStudio and it will recreate the folder above that you just renamed.
Substitute Stephen with your Windows User Account name.
Substitute 12 with your version of VideoStudio.

I use Windows XP, which I assume being updated, as once in a while it downloads some updates, usually restarting the PC in the night while a video is being rendered... so that in the morning I can get a nice surprise)
