How do I move a video clip in the project library into a permanent folder on my hard drive.I was able to relink this time it because it was part of a previous project as well. When I delete the previous project the link will go too. ..................Ken

Can not be done for 2 reasons...
1. VS just does not move files around on your system.
2. There are no actual clips in VS.
Now with that said, what you're seeing in the Libraries are thumbnail image representations of those clips, not the actual clip. Right-click on one of the clips in the Library, select Properties. Then at the top look at File Name. Place your mouse in the box to it's right and highlight it, and drag to the right to see the entire path. That is the actual clip, and where it is located on your system.
To move it open up Windows Explorer, go to the location of the clip and move it.

If you want to keep a clip in a certain folder so you don't get a relink message, but want the clip in another folder for another project, simply copy/paste the clip.
