Video Studio X2 and time/date stamp in video clips

Post by hanspeter »

Hi again

after my problems with the crashes of VS10 in the rendering (no smart render) process (see my other post) I now downloaded the VS X2 trial version.
The rendering process works well now and the complete project could be done.

However, before I purchase I noted an other annoying feature: VS X2 does the date/time stamp in the video clips. When I insert those same video clips into VS10 then it does not show, neither when I open the clips with Mediaplayer or WinDVD.
Anybody who knows what is the reason for this?

Thanks again for help.

Hi

Go to File - Preferences-General tab--Display DV timecode on Preview Window

Hi Trevor and all others interested

actually, it is not the DV timecode you need to activate. But you can do as follows:
- got to File Menu
- Preferences and choose the Edit tabe
- Deselect the "subtitles" box

At least this method helped to remove the date/time stamp that comes from my Sony video cam.

Best regards

If you don't want the date/time to be displayed on the video you turn it OFF on your camcorder, not within VideoStudio.
