Some more information would help us to help you,

what version of videostudio are you using, how did you connect your camera to your PC (exactly - what wires etc. from where to where) , what is the spec of your PC , what did you do - what properties did you set, etc. etc.

There are some very clever people on here but I don't think any of them are mind readers or have a crystal ball - - - please help us to help you by giving as much information as you can - don't worry about getting the techhnical terms right. just put it best you can.

Check you volume control properties and see which volume meter is controling the playback audio. Once that is established, go to the volume properties and change from play control to record control and select the volume control that was being used for playback. This should help you out.

make sure that your volume control properties, recording tab, point to Line -In

Right click the loud speaker icon on your desktop tool bar / open / options / properties / recording
