VideoStudio 7 SE MPEG drvier error

I just purchased a video capture card and this VideoStudio 7 SE came with it. I installed it but it won't let me capture video. It will let me capture but when I stop capturing, an error message comes up saying, "File mismatch. Do you want to delete this file?" It won't let me put the captured video into any projects. When the program starts up an error message comes up saying, "Cannot load MPEG vio Driver" and it gives the file location. So I visited ulead.com and downloaded the MPEG vio driver and installed it but it doesn't solve the problem. I don't know if the two problems are related. I also downloaded the update patch, but after installing that it would let me capture video and put it in the timeline but it didn't have any audio. I don't know what to do.
