Good deal on VS9 at Buy.com

I was hedging about moving from VS8 to VS9, but the deal at Buy.com was too good to pass up. They are selling VS9 for $70.99 with free shipping, and there is a rebate coupon for $20 in addition to the regular Ulead upgrade rebate of $30. So the total comes out to $20.99 including shipping. IMO, that makes VS9 a worthwhile upgrade from VS8!

The $30.00 rebate is for qualified versions.
Make sure you version does qualify.

Problem is i don't think you know what qualifies until you open
the box and read the rebate form.

According to the rebate coupon accessible from the buy.com site, the following qualify for the $30 upgrade rebate:

VS 5
VS 6
VS 7
VS 8

Pinnacle Studio
Roxio VideoWave
Sony Vegas Movie Studio
Adobe Premiere Elements

You must own a retail version of one of the above. OEM/bundled versions (I assume that means "SE" versions) do not qualify. You must provide a copy of the copyright page from the user guide or an electronic receipt with serial number for one of the above proudcts.

The $20 rebate is from buy.com and you just have to prove you purchased the product from them to get the rebate.

I have qualifying product(s) for the rebate so, for $20.99 it is certainly worth giving a try.

I just noticed that the $20 buy.com rebate is good for purchases of VS9 from May 9 through May 16. If you want the $50 in rebates for a final price of $20.99 on VS9, you need to purchase from buy.com before the 16th of May.
