JPEG Image Overlay Distortion over title

Post by RickMen »

At the beginning of my project I placed a jpeg file in the (1st) overlay track with a opening title over a black color on the main track and then cross fade to the 1st clip. With the jpeg overlay file I then select the Pan & Zoom option (preset to 'zoom in'), in preview window it all looks fine but when I render the project the jpeg overlay track appears distorted, its blown out of proportion and you only see about 1 quarter of it (top left hand quadrant). If I remove the Pan & Zoom effect from the jpeg overlay file and re-render its comes out fine.

Any suggestions? (I'm editing in HD TOD format using VS X2 pro). Is this a known bug? or can't you use 'Pan & Zoom' on the overlay track?

What aspect ratio are you using for your project, 4:3 or 16:9? Is your video file 16:9 and is your photo a 16:9 ratio?
Please read:
What dimensions etc should I use for still images in Videos?.
