Flash bulb effect

Post by RYORK »

Hi all,

I am using the videostudio pro ultimate software and can anyone tell me, is it possible to create a flash bulb effect from one clip to another? I have a video of a car passing and then the next clip is it in slow motion so between the two clips I would like to create the flash bulb effect. Also does anyone know any good free sound effects sites that I ccould use to add to the effect.

Many thanks

Rob

Hi

Add a colour clip to the overlay track maybe 4 frames.
You will have to experiment
Use Mask & chroma reduce transparency to say 40%

Try a Video Filter-LensFlare

Try two clips at different lengths and transparancy

Sound effects, if you are using X2 then there are some in the Bonus files

HiHi Rob!

I know the 'effects' vary between versions so this is a tossup. Effect --> dropdown --> Video Filter --> All --> Enhance Lighting.

(Dumbest menu system I've ever seen. Can't look for Lighting under ummm...'L' because alphabetically it's under 'Enhance.' Whatever. I get used to it.)

But it is a nice effect in that you can probably get a true flash *bulb* look by ramping the light up very fast and then down a little slower as the filament burns out.

Sounds - excellent excellent excellent site at http://www.freesounds.org. Buuuut I looked up flash *bulb* and unfortunately that returns nothing. But searching for flash returns all sorts of camera with electronic flash sounds. There might be other 'pop' sound in there though under different keywords.

I used the site just the other day to add a kazoo sound to my windows startup - which reflects the level of technology that Bill brings us a decade into the new millenium. LOL!!

Have a :) day!

Please read http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... mera+flash

The Flashback transitions that might do the trick. Experiment by shortening the length and changing the color.

Download and install the FREE Burger Transitions, they include a B&W Flash which does exactly what you are looking for.
