Answer for Some Common Problems?

Post by Black Lab »

I received a promo email from NewBlue Effects, the maker of plug-in effects that work with VideoStudio. Interestingly enough, their new Video Essentials III aims to solve many of the questions and problems that we see every day on this forum, including:

~Gradient Tint
~Image Mapper (moving paths)
~Rolling Shutter (wobble & skew damage)
~Split Screen
~Spotlight (highlight moving image)

I don't work for NewBlue, nor have I tried the product, but the samples on their site do look interesting.

I read the descriptions in that link you posted and "Image Mapper" and "Split Screen" do not work with Corel Video Studio according to the website page... Al

aljimenez is right. The Image mapper andSplit screen, the ones I could really use do not appear in the choices when you install in VS x2. For what you do get, the price looks very high. The two most useful effects therefore IMHO the most valuable don't install.
EDIT
They work in Adobe Premier Pro!

... And I'm afraid he's correct. For me, the major attraction was the Split Screen effect, but it specifically says that it (and Image Mapper) are 'Not available for Corel Video Studio'...

Well, as I said I didn't try it. All I did was look at the table that said it was compatible with VS. My bad.

Still useful link though, there are plenty of other interesting filters though I agree they seem rather expensive.

Anyone who was interested in the NewBlue FX might want to take another look, as it seems compatibility issues have been fixed.
