'Corel VideoStudio has Stopped Working' when burn DVD

Post by srausch705 »

I am unable to burn a DVD.

I opened VS Pro X2
I opened Sample Project (NTSC Format)
I clicked on 'Share' Tab
I clicked on 'Create Disck'
I clicked on 'DVD'

The "Next' button does not function on the screen that comes up so I pushed 'ALT-N' twice to get to the burn DVD screen

I clicked on 'Burn DVD'
and after pushcing 'Ok'

Video Studio comes up with the message

'Corel VideoStudio has Stopped Working'

Questions:
Is VS Pro X2 compatible with Windows 7 Prem Home edition?
If so than please help me find out why I cannot burn DVDs.

Thank you

There is a thread on X2 and Windows 7 at the top of this forum that discusses the issue of compatibility: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?p=181998#181998 However, I don't recall offhand whether it discusses anyone else having a problem burning a DVD.

There is also a patch for X2, available only on a Japanese site, which appears to correct some of those compatibility issues, and the link for that is given in about page 9 of that thread. You might want to try it out and see if it corrects your problem.
