Titles become skewed to left after rendering

Post by Ellsounds »

Hi all,

I have VideoStudio 10+ and downloaded the Vista pack as I bought a new computer last year with Vista installed. VS 10+ has been working fine for a year with Vista with one oddity.

Whenever I create titles they look fine previewed while editing. I had a scrolling end credits sequence created recently and center-aligned the titles. But after rendering they are skewed to the left somewhat. I seem to have had this problem since using the program with Vista. I don't remember this issue on my XP machine.

It's consistent with any titles I have created. They are shifted to the left and if they are single titles, to compensate I have to have them placed farther to the right when previewing. However, when I center align for scrolling I really can't do this and I'd like these titles to be properly centered.

Anyone have this issue and any have a solution? I guess I could install VS on my wife's XP machine and create the titles but that's a bit kludgey.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Try puting a space at the beginning and end of each line in the Title!

If you do a Search for "titles and not and centered" you will get several returns (including one from me in 2004 that I had forgotten about  ). This one may be of the most help (but my thread had a solution to my problem).

Thank you all for your help. I'm checking out the older forum threads now.

I have placed spaces and such as a kludge but it would be great to solve this so that it renders the way it looks in preview mode.

I had done the Direct X update manually and no change.

Will keep you posted and thanks again!

Hi

As you have found out this problem has been around before.

Can you e-mail a title so I can try to render it.
I do not think it is a common problem, so I doubt if I can simulate it,
but willing to give it a try.

Start a new project
Create Your title (use a common font)
Save the project
e-mail the VSP.

Did that work?
Trevor I would be happy to have a go at replicating the prob if Ellsounds cares to email me the VSP too!
