How would I make an NTSC HD 1440 X 1080 WMV Template?

Is it possible?

I think you might have to Click "Cancel" on the Profiles window to get back to the "Video Save Options" Then you can click "Customise"

OK,
Since taking Ken's advice and installing the Windows Media 9 encoder I now get this when I hit customize:

Is this where I can make a 1920 X 1080 HD NTSC template with high quality like 100% ?

Please let me know how as I'm not having much luck?

Thanks for the much needed help..

Yes, but it does not give info on making the templates just exporting after you have made one.

Thanks.

Let me give that video another look.
Try viewing it again. I do not know how I can make any easier than by providing you with a video showing you how to do it.

Ok
This is what I did
Looking at your image (profile 2 .jpg)
Scrolled down to select---- Ulead - WMV HD 1080 30p
If you dint see this then try the Neptune Best
Choose Copy
Renamed the new copy template to ¡¥A WMV 1920 X 1080 HD NTSC 800kbps--30fps¡¦
The ¡¥A¡¦is so it sits at the top of the list.
Choose ¡¥Edit¡¦
This opens another window Edit Profile
From the Quality Based tab or Kbps tab I change the frame size to 1920 x 1080
Frame rate to 30 fps

This makes the template and it seems to work.
But I have to say that I have not created a HD Wmv template before, I can only assume I am using the correct settings. I don¡¦t know the max bit rate for Wmv at 100% quality. 6Mbps seems good to me.

Hi Steve

Make Movie Manager Add function only works with a limited number of formats, probably Avi or Mpeg.
Unfortunately You cannot browse for a WMV file, it would be nice if you could.

Thanks everyone.

All I get is the Profile can not be saved, close the editor and start again.

Try again and I get the same deal.

I can't believe I'm having this much trouble with something that seems so simple.

OK, Had to run the program as administrator to get this to work.

I'll play around with it and see what happens.

It will help with any future troubleshooting if you click this button ==> Image so that we can then view your system specifications without having to plough through your previous posts.

Hi
I don¡¦t know why you are having so much trouble.
Are you able to use your wife¡¦s pc to create these templates?

I have made a WMV template to 1920 X 1080 HD NTSC
The file size is quite substantial at 700Kb for 10 seconds.

I can e-mail the file, but you will have to find the correct holding folder, I do not have W7

For XP the template Is saved here:- C:\Program Files\Windows Media Components\Encoder\Profiles
The new file is named A copy 1920 X 1080 HD NTSC WMV.prx

Once you have the file in place, you will have to go through the MWV template process, customise to find the new file. It would then be available in the VS list, you could then use Make Movie Manager to select the template.

E-mail if you want me to send the file

Trevor,
Thank you for all your help.
I got it working after I started the program with administrator privileges.
