'Exceeds har disk limit (1 - -209152)' - Blurring

Post by sgraham »

I get this message after installing VS 11.5. 0157 2 plus and clicking on the Preview Tab in the Preferences. I can see the C drive as well as the mass storage drive and their sizes in dropdown but with either checked VS throws the error message in the subject line and I have to cancel out of prefererences. The actual movie files are on a mass storage drive with indexing turned off. Windows XP SP3.

I am getting blurring at times in the .WMV output where I can see the blurring in the preview window of VS project and in the output clip but I cannot see the blurring in the original movie file from camera I am using in the project. I am thinking I need more preview space per above. Any other solution suggestion to the blurring problem. cheerfully accepted.

It'd help with part one if you could fill in your system config as fully as possible.
WMV is a compressed output format, so if you choose a small file size it will make your file look poor. More preview space won't help with final output file quality.
WHat are your input file types?
How does a dv.avi output file look like? Or if you are using another format for input file, such as mpeg or avchd then what does the same ooutput as input look like?
