Any way I can convert this or insert this into my timeline?

Thanks,

I don't know much about the format except that it is an Adobe variant of the Flash .flv format. And that is probably why X2 is having difficulty with it, when it would not have difficulty with an ordinary .flv file. It is rather like the Adobe Premiere output formats for HDV and AVCHD which if I recall correctly are .m2v and .m4v, and X2 cannot read these either. You need to have Adobe authoring software to do anything with them.

The other complication about the latter formats is that they are video-only streams, though I simply don't know if the .f4v format is video only or also carries sound.

You can do a Google search for more details. A quick one I did returned lots of hits, including some information on conversion e.g. http://www.flvsoft.com/play_convert_f4v/

The freeware program we normally recommend to do conversions for most files -- SUPER -- lists .flv but does not appear to include .f4v...
