spinning newspaper effect?

Post by leocat »

Is there a way in VS X2 to create the "spinning newspaper" effect like in the old movies?

i.e. "extra extra, read all about it"... cut to a newspaper spinning really fast then it stops so you can read the headline.

If there is not a feature in VS is there an inexpensive software that is compatible with VS that I can do this with?

Thanks,
Brian

Put the image of the newspaper in one of the overlay tracks then select the
"rotate before pause duration" icon (an arrow pointing towards graduated
bars) thereis also an" after" option....................Ken

For a really professional effect you need a 3D program such as Cool 3D
or Cool 3D Production Studio (No longer for sale - you would probably have to hunt around ebay etc.)

Then.......
newspaper download from videographics

Forgot to mention that if you use the method I described you will need to put a clour clip(or something) in the video track and trim them so that they are borth the same length(by selecting them and then dragging the yellow trim handles.)Otherwise your next video clip will be in the wrong place

Hi

I can highly recommend Cool3D, been using it since version 2.5.

Now using V3.5, got Cool3d Studio, but prefer 3.5, earlier version, but far

easier to use IMO.

Well worth seeking out.

Mind You I have made better logos, spinning titles etc by accident than design lol

Regards.

Peter
