I'm working with the Trial version to evaluate this software and everytime I attempt to install the patch an ERROR window appears telling me that the Installer can not find VisualStudio Pro 12 on my system. Does anyone have a solution?
Corel version is 12.0.98.0 Pro. It hasn't changed to 12.0.98.1 Pro
Thanks.

Hello Trevor!
I somewhat suspected that that may have been the reason. So much for a trial version that is supposed to be a FULL Version
Thank you very much for youe assistance.

Hi
As far as I know the trial version has all the functionality of the full product.
Limited in the library and samples department, yes.
Good enough to give you a good look.
You wouldn¡¦t expect the Extra Content as this includes free software, of some description.
I have just purchased X2 in the last 48 hours, cos I could download from the US at $30. (pro download)
Go to Corel site in the UK to find out the proper price.

Hello Trever!
Since I am using the Trial Version, is that also the reason while the TV Tuner Scan doesn't show the channels and/or the ability to select different channels after it has scanned.
While it is scanning every thing appears to be working OK. The video of the different channels appear as it goes through the scan function. However, after it's finished scanning, I am only able to select one channel. From which I am able to capture, edit and etc OK.
I was using Ulead's 8.10 version for several years and the TV Tuner function worked OK. I'm using an analog capture device, Plextor PX-TV402U which appears to be working as it should and is recognized by VS X2.
NOTE: Yesterday I ordered the BOX version of VS Pro X2. When I receive it I will certainly find out if things like the Patch upgrade and the TV Channel Scan does what it is supposed to do.

I have always maintained that VideoStudio is primarily an Editor.
TV cards have their own software for viewing / capturing and that software is the best to be used for those purposes. You then import the captured video into VideoStudio for editing.
My opinion of the TV capture function in VideoStudio (and other similar programs) is simply a matter of rounding off the program - sort of like how you can take movies on a digital camera, and take still images with a camcorder.
If you are having problems capturing TV using VideoStudio then it is probably a driver problem. Whilst your dedicated TV software works, VideoStudio is not specific to any particular TV card and so its range of compatible drivers will be less.
