Out of sync when rendering for AVCHD

Post by lassegus »

Hi all,

I have edited a video in VS11+, taken with my JVC GZ-HD6, which has a harddisc with 120 GB and records in mpeg2. I used my laptop this time for editing and rendering and it took time of course..

I used 1440x1080 CBR when recording a video of 24 minutes. (In fact the camera creates searate files for each clip).

After editing I went to the step "Create videofile" and selected AVCHD. The audio in the resulting file was then 1-2 seconds out of sync!

BUT when I in "Create videofile" selected DVD for creating a std DVD there was no problem with the sync!

The surprise for me however was when creating a hybrid disc from the AVCHD-file the sync was OK on the disc!!

So finally I got a perfect result, but I wonder why the audio was out of sync in the first step? Any ideas?
Regards Lars Erik
