I am trying to use Videostudio 8 with Vista using the Program Compatibility Wizard and I set it as XP and I got to the bit where you select display settings that are recommended for this program, or that previously supported the program correctly and I don't know what to put. Can you help?
Here are the options.
256 colours
640x480 resolution
Disable Visual themes
Disable desktop composition
Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
Videostudio 8.0 display settings

In any case, the first version of VS which was sort of compatible with Vista was VS10, and that still required a special patch... Some of the older Ulead products would work under Vista in XP compatible mode. These included Cool 3D Production Studio which I still regularly use on my Vista Ultimate machine. However, the older VS versions would not.
