Anyone that isn't having trouble with wind 7 and VSx2

Post by brucefl »

Just came back from visiting corels site, and find it ubelievable reading some of the post, and my own problems, Corel states "The following Corel products work on Windows 7:

(partial list
VideoStudio Express 2010
VideoStudio Pro X2

Work is a relative term?
Just wondering if anyone that isn't having any problems with it,
thanks Bruce

I have only used VS X2 Pro one time in Windows 7 to run a brief test, but the only problem I encountered is the same one reported by others in the thread dedicated to VS and Win 7 (a sticky near the top of the VS topic list). In the disc burning module, some of the interface buttons are missing. Someone in the Win 7 thread has listed the keyboard shortcuts you can use in the absence of the buttons. Using those shortcuts provides a way to do anything the buttons would have done. Corel support has indicated that they are aware of the button problem and are investigating it.

Other than that, VS seems to work the same in Win 7 as in XP or Vista, other than any performance improvements that Win 7 itself might provide (I haven't seen any obvious ones while using VS).

Caveat: I haven't read the entire VS/Win 7 thread, so there may be other problems that have been reported that I haven't encountered in my brief use of VS in Win 7.

I have X2 installed on a Win 7 RC computer (P4 3.0 GHz with hyperthreading) and it works fine apart from the button problem just mentioned. But you would be better reading the sticky referred to and post any further queries you have there. I will lock this thread to avoid confusion.
