Window 7 and extension .ufo problems??

I have Windows 7 and PI12.. PI seems to work fine.. But any photo saved in .ufo (which shows a type of PI3.Image) has the following problems.

The preview thumbnail is blank.
the icon associated with the photo type is blank.
If I try to delete I get stuck in the Recycling window while it reads discovering items.
If I try to move them to another folder, they get stuck while the window reads discovering items.
If I try to look at the properties the property window does not display, it ignores the command..

Anyone get this and figure out how to fix this.

Probably PI shell extension doesn't work correctly in Win7.
I don't think anything can be done about it, except for deregistering the extensions, resutling in disabling previews. The dll in PIX3 is upiExtractImage.dll
