Error Message,VS Has Stopped Working

Post by Rich2Putt »

I recently completed a clean install from WinXP to Win7.
I then installed VS x2 Pro.

When I insert images on the time line & click on the "pan & zoom" I get the following message "Corel Video Studio Has Stopped Working" then I am forced to close VS down. VS worked well on Windows XP.

I reinstalled (repair option), & VS still crashes when "pan & zoom" option is clicked.

Early today I informed Corel of this issue.

Not sure if anyone has an answer but I could sure use any suggestions. I use the pan & zoom on all my video projects. Without this feature, I am screwed.

As an FYI not related, this forum is impossible to find on the Corel web site. I had to copy the thread from my pc at work to get here tonight.

Thanks,
Rich

I see you have visited the Win7 thread. Obviously there are problems associated with VS X2 and Win7, as VS came before Win7 and, therefore, was not designed for it.

Seems Corel is going thru transition(s), so I don't know that patching older products are on the top of their list right now.

If you Google "Corel User Forum" This Board is the first entry

Hi

I think Rich has a valid point here, you would have expected the forum link to be available from Corel.com

I am sure it used to be, somewhere.????????????

It used to be under Support, but you did have to do a little digging to find it.

EDIT: I can't find it anywhere. Way to go Corel!

I have just spent a while search for it -- and found it! You click on Resources along the top, then counter-intuitively, choose Newsgroups, and it is buried in there. You have to then click on 'Digital Media product user forums' and the link brings you here!!

It is also still findable from the old ulead.com site. Though it is still the same forum, its address uses ulead rather than Corel...

Huh, I went the Resources route, but went to Community Sites. Never thought (and why should I) to go to Newsgroups. :?
