Audio destroyed/distorted by amplification

Post by Andi »

Hello,

When I create a video file with video studio it boosts the audio
and destroys it => you get heavy distortions.
It doesn't happen if I only create a sound file then the audio sounds good.

How to fix it? How to turn the boosting off.

Don't suggest lowering the audio volume because the
original .wav file has the audio well mastered. By doing so it would
destroy the audio dynamics of the audio file.

There has been number of topics about this issue but all suggests tempering with the volume :(

Doh, silly me!

I had EQ boosting on my video player and the audio that I imported
separately I listened with Winamp :P

(I'm using sometimes EQ to increase gain in some clips that
I watch because the have very low volume, sometimes I forgot to set it back)
