Can you explain what the "twin effect" is?

If you mean showing the two scenes side by side, depending on what VS version you have you can use two overlays resized to show together.Does this http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=17273 help .....................Ken

ok.. what i am trying to achieve is creating clones of a person doing multiple activities in single frame. have seen people achieving it in various youtube videos using the X2 version which i have.

I have shot two videos on a tripod- in the first video, a person is sitting on a chair and in the second video the same person dancing on the side of the chair.
now i need to merge these two videos together to get the twin effect where the person is sitting as well as dancing at the same time.

thanks for your responses.

Shoot both videos from the same position mounted on a tripod then overlay one on the other - adjust the transparency - might look a bit ghost like though.

Another way is to have someone in the left of the screen, then shot again in the right of the screen - again from a camcorder mounted on a tripod.
Place "left" on the video track and "right" on the overlay track. Now use the cropping filter to remove the left half of "right".

check the one done on videostudio. there are several others through other softwares like aftereffects / vegas etc. just type "cloning video effect"/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8SpaZgjMSM is another example ... not sure of the software though!!
