Hi :D
When I bought Video Studio 9 there was no way to ask for a backup CD. :(
I have send at least 8 e-mails asking for this CD, without response. On the other side, I have send several e-mails to the technical support service for technical reasons, without getting any response too. :x
I want to know if any member of this forum has suffered a similar behaviour by Ulead.
I send this comment to the forum because, besides Ulead says that they have no oblitation to reply, I whish they will take in care the letters I sent and they will know not only about my problems, but also if my posts on this forum will serve any purpose.

The chance to purchase the back up CD would have been offered to you when you purchased the download, it all happens on the download order screen and you have to specify that you need the disc and also PAY for it before you can download. I don't know how the sale is managed in your part of the world but here in Europe we do not buy direct from Ulead but even on the Ulead website our purchase is through a company called Element 5 - if your download sale was handled by someone other than Ulead it could be worth asking them direct about a back-up disc .

Some users have had problems receiving replies from Ulead technical support - and no doubt they will confirm their problems to you, there used to be a note on the technical support pages saying that several ISPs treated the e-mails from Ulead as Spam (because of it's format) and you may find their replies in your 'JUNK' or 'BULK' folder.

In the meantime if you have VideoStudio installed and you have problems with it why not ask your technical questions on here - there are a lot of clever people from around the world here and it is very likely someone will be able to help you.

Perhaps some kind person can mail Marques a copy of the CD. As long as Marques uses his own ligitimate serial number, this shouldn't create any copyright issues. (If I remember correctly, it won't run without a valid serial number.)

I can't do it because I don't have VS9.

That really isn't the way that works. His SN won't work on any disc.

The good Doctor needs to be persistant and email the folks in California, or better yet, Element 5 (assuming they handled the download).

Buena suerte. Me encanta su lugar.

When you purchased VS9 you had to purchase the program via
Element 5.
Also, you should have an invoice number.
Goto the element 5 website and create a user account.
You should be able to log-in and review your previous purchases
using your purchase order numbers (I always print them out).
You should be able to order a CD from them.
They are the people that distribute the program for ulead.
Send element 5 an email. I had problems and element 5 responded.

The serial number is embedded in the program installation on the CD
that they sent for MF3.

When you have downloaded the program and order the CD
your not getting the retail boxed version CD. Your getting the
download distributable and extra content. It's a hardcopy backup of the
download distribution.
That's why it's always best to order the retail box version plus you also
get the manuals etc.

Whenever I've downloaded a program from ulead the serial number is
greyed out in the installation phase.

If you purchase the retail box you enter the serial number.

People shouldn't send you a CD.
That's a copyright infringement.

MD

My serial number is "FU2-R-U-Nuts"
