saving rendered project

Post by michandjohn »

Hi,
I know this probably sounds stupid but... After I've rendered a project, does that "file" get saved anywhere? I understand I can simply copy an exisitng DVD disc using standard burning software but am wondering if I can simply burn extra one by "loading" the previously rendered project
Thanks

There is a checkbox (on the "burn" screen, I think) that says Create DVD Folders. That will create AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders on your hard drive (With the VOB files etc.).

Many thanks DVDDoug. I take it that it still means you burn disc in other software ie you can't load those files within VS and burn from there?

That's right. I happen to use Nero, but any package that will burn 'DVD Folders' will do.

The other option on the final burning page is to create a Disc Image file (.iso). that is much the same idea as the DVD folder, but burns in a slightly different way. Again, Nero, Roxio or a variety of other programs, including some freeware ones, will do the job nicely...

Ken

Video Studio came with a ¡¥VCD DVD Disc Image Recorder¡¦, at least up to Version 10,
Allowing you to burn the Iso files.
I know you prefer the TS option but the image recorder works for me, its just a personal preference.

Do the latest versions have this option? I would have thought yes but unsure!

VS10 was the last version that included DVD/VCD Disc Image Recorder. It is however still very much a part of DVD MovieFactory..

Hi

Thanks Ron,
I think its wrong that VS has the ability to create the Iso files, but don¡¦t provide the means to burn them to disc.
I know we can use a third party program to achieve this, but we have paid good money in purchasing VS, I suppose removing the recorder was in the name of progress.

I fully agree. It was a rather strange move by Corel.
