Video Studio either hanging or terminating.

The problem I’m now having is Corel VideoStudio 12.0.98.1 Pro will do one of the following when I create a dvd as either a dvd or ISO. My current project is the largest I have tried. All my smaller projects work just fine.

1) The program will remain in the dvd creation menu for hours. See test information below.
2) The program will abort with the message “Corel VideoStudio has encountered a problem and needs to close” In the more information tab this time I got “AppName vstudio.exe AppVer 10.0.0.0 ModName h264vdec.dll ModVer 2.0.1.4 Offset: 00011943” Both of these message segments can change when VSP bombs.
3) The program will be creating the dvd and will simply disappear. Nothing in task manager.


My Video Input is Follows:
- My video consist of 324 m2ts files totaling 11.1 Gig
- I have broken them down into 26 folders(segments) for my tests, each of varying length due to category
- My Camera is a Canon HF11
- The frame information, based on the first video from Corel VideoStudio is
24 bits, 1920 x 1080 16:9

My Video Creation is as follows:
I’m trying to create one dual layer standard dvd, 8.5gb selection using the following “MPEG properties for file conversion”
MPEG files
24 bits, 720x480 29.97fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-NTSC), 16:9
Video data rate: 8000 lbps
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48KHz, 2/0(L, R)


- I have re-booted my machine fresh without starting anything else before testing.
- I have terminated my virus scanner after shutting down my Ethernet connection of course.
- I have done this by bringing in each video segment as MPG’s into the video creation subsystem.
- I have done this by bringing in each video segment as vsp’s video creation subsystem.
- I have done this by making my video one large mpg and bringing that into the video creation subsystem.
- I split my dvd into two standard dvd’s with the first dvd holding about 2/3rd of my video. That still locks up. The segment with about 1/3rd of the video, did work.

My computer’s
- Dell Inspiron, Intel quad core cpu @ 2.4ghz with 2gb memory running Winders XP Home SP3
- I have dual SATA HD’s about 350 gig each(about 250 gig free on drive-0, 120 gig free on drive-1)and split the load between them.
-My monitor's ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO

Test’s using Corel & Task Manager with above settings. Sorry about the alignment.

Cancel would not stop it even though task manager said it was Running.

Increased my VM to 20GB, re-booted and ran another test.
