I have VS11+ , XP Home and Paint Shop Pro X and an Xd Still Camera Card used in an Olympus still Camera.
The card is full of still pics ,I can watch the stills as a slide show via a still cam usb conmection on my PC.
I want to get this slide show onto DVD via VS doing any edits needed
with VS + PSPro and with a date and location maker or title as required.
What is the best way to do this...................Ken

Hi Ken
There is no best way of video editing just the way we like to do it, our personal preference.
Others may have different ideas.
First you need to get the images onto the pc,
Connect the camera via USB then transfer the images to a new folder on your hard drive.
Your images may need editing , use an image editor, some may not be suitable so delete them now.
Keep in mind whether you intend your slide show to be 4:3 or 16:9.
Using VS from File - Preferences
Set the image duration to about 10 seconds (edit tab)
Set the Effects/Transition duration to 3 sec (edit tab)
Select the Use Default Transition Effect ¡VChoose Random (general Tab)
Make sure that Image resampling is set to ¡¥Keep aspect ratio¡¦( Edit tab)
Add a colour clip to the beginning of the timeline set to 10 seconds.
Import your images to the timeline.
Add a title to the beginning as an intro to the slide show
And may be a closing text.
Check the length of the project.
Add audio to the project.
Render the project to Pal-DVD.
