Well now that I know more of what I am doing the editor works fine - thanks to all that helped.
My next problem is how to manage lots of clips when making a documentary type project. Is there any way I can tag clips to make a initial sort so that I can manage less clips that are sorted into logical groups.
What do you people do to solve this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

If I want certain clips in certain groups I make separate libraries for them. You can simply copy and paste the thumbnails to the different libraries.

Naming Clips
When you have got them in their separate libraries you can give them a name instead of the number shown. This will not involve relinking and the original number will show if you hover the cursor over the now named clip
