Blank Menus

Post by montgal »

Hello Everyone:

I have read the user guide regarding creating menus and submenus. In the section, "Creating Menus
", it explains the creation process (i.e., Select Create menu in 1 Add Media and click Next)

Clicking Next brings you to the 2 Menu & Preview screen.

My question is how do you get the program to give you a totally blank drawing screen to create a menu from scratch :? . I notice that it assumes the user wants a template all of the time because it will always "slap" a template into that screen. And even if you wanted that template, you can not delete any attributes (buttons, etc.) from the template.

You can't. The only way to start from scratch is to create one with PhotoImpact.

Why couldn't he just uncheck the "Create Menu" button to get blank or no template? I've almost resorted to doing it (although it kinda boring and plain, depending on the video content, of course) because of issues of getting placement of sound effects, etc right using templates.
Am I WAY off base here? :?:
Thanks!

Yes - you are way off base, sorry.
Unchecking the Create Menu button does just that - you do not get a menu, not even a blank one.
