I've used PI for many, many years and have never found a task it could not do - until now?
I do a lot of old photo restoration and I've learned that to enhance my skills, I need to be able to split the color channels into RGB for editing. The red channel apparently is a good candidate to work in for problems with grayscale photos.
I simply cannot find any info on whether this is possible with PIX3, which is what I use.
Please tell me that I don't have to move to Paint Shop Pro - which I believe does do this.
Thanks for any help on this.
Split color channels into RGB possible?

Sorry for the extreme delay in any responses.
You're correct that PI is not able to split to RGB, however can split to CMYK. Not knowing what you've used in the past for doing this, and if your a serious hobbiest, or do this for income. You might have a look at Corel's CorelDraw Graphics Suite, that has Corel PhotoPaint. It is a very impressive package, a very strong competitor to Adobe PhotoShop. It is very capable of doing what you need. The current version is X4, I've been using CorelDraw since version 9.
I also have PSP X2 however not really cared for it since Corel bought Jasc.
