I am not sure if anyone else experiences this (very minor) annoyance in X2 Pro, but the "recent file" list does not behave normally in X2 Pro with my Vista 64 bit system (I have applied the August 2009 Direct X patch and the November 2008 X2 patch). The steps I take are:
1. Create a new project in X2 and save it.
2. Exit X2
3. Launch X2 again with the intention of working on the project again.
4. Click on the "Files" menu.
The list of recent files does not include the project file that was created in step 1.
5. Open the file by browsing the hard drive and navigating to the folder in which it resides.
At that point it is added to the recent files list. It seems to require opening a new project file a second time to get it to show up. I haven't noticed this behavior in any other Windows program, all of which seem to add a new file to the recent files list as soon as I save it with a file name.
This only happens on new files. If I open an older file that I haven't worked on recently (and thus has fallen off the recent files list), it will be added to the recent files list as soon as I open it.
Does anyone else here experience this?

Same here, and I too am mystified but live with it. A similar anomaly in X2 is that once you insert a file into the timeline of a project, it has been 'used' and a a small white rectangular box will (eventually) appear in the top left hand corner of the thumbnail in the library pane. This is useful since it will tell you which clips you have still to insert. However, the mark only appears on File 1 when you have inserted File 2, and on File 2 only when you have inserted File 3, rather than immediately...
