"Unable to load library" error message.
If I use several 3d transitions, all the ones that start with "flying" and some others I get this message and the video will fail to render. This issue is present on both of the computers I have vsX2 loaded on.
It's like the transition is corrupted or not present. I'm not big on these types of transitions but I do like the flying flip in certain spots in montages and it irritates me that it no longer works.
For test I simply put two images in the time line and insert the transition between them. Then render a video using the "same as project properties" and bingo, as soon as it gets to the transition it crashes with that error message.
Any one have any ideas? Like I said It's not my machine and I have used these transitions many times in earlier versions (VS11, 10.9.8 and 7)
Thanks

Have you updated Flash or DirectX?
For flash we have found that new versions tend to have an adverse effect on the Corel products but the work round is here:
Fix for Flash
For DirectX the latest version is here

Some people have had problems with the 3D transitions for a couple of versions now. Some people, like myself, have not problems at all. Why? I don't know.

Jeff how did you get VSx2?
Mine was a downloaded upgrade to VS 11 where the 3d transitions worked fine. In fact they still do as I have it loaded on one machine still. Did you receive a disc? Just trying to narrow down what might be the difference.

The site I placed Flash.OCX on has mysteriously disappeared (again)
Later this evening (not at home at the moment) I will upload a copy to my Microsoft Sky Drive.
Hopefully this new link will not expire

I have long wondered if that may be a factor?Black Lab wrote:I have never used a download version, only discs.metmot wrote:Black Lab wrote:Some people have had problems with the 3D transitions for a couple of versions now. Some people, like myself, have not problems at all. Why? I don't know.

Steve, thanks for fixing the fixflash link
All this sounds silly but I like the flying flip transition doing photo montages when the person makes a transformation. As a baggy pants high school punk with shaggy hair into a post boot camp soldier or such.
Thanks again guys

I said I believe my DirectX is up to date. Well I believed incorrectly. That did in fact fix my transition library loading issue.
Thanks again, you are tirelessly generous with your help here.

I read this post with great interest as it looks very similar to the problem I have, but the fixes don't apply.
I am using the trial version of VS12 to chek the possibility of transfering to Blu-Ray projects I have done with my current VS9. The project I work on is a photo show made of about 20 sub projects. Some of those are handled without any problem by VS12 down to the creation of the video, and with others, the program stalls with a message that VS12 has to close ... This appears to be transition related, as if I remove the transitions, the projects are read and rendered correctly.
To simplify the analysis, I created a project with 2 color sequences from the program lib, and tried to insert one of the faulty transitions (e.g. Clock Quarter). The program immediately stops, even by only clicking on the transition !
Before installing VS12, I updated DirectX, Real, QuickTime and WinMediaPlayer. I also used the Flashfix indicated in this post. I also uninstalled previous versions (VS5 and VS9). My config is : WinXP / Athlon 2500+ / 1.5G RAM and sufficient disk space.
On top of that, Corel does not deliver technical support on the trial version.
I would be very happy if anyone could suggest a solution to this problem.

Funny you should mention that. The problem you are having seems identical to one that I am also having currently which is as of yet unsolved. Distinctly different than the issue I had when posting this thread. Steve gave some nice information for troubleshooting windows which is likely where the problem lies, not VS. Here is the link to the thread. http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... highlight=bellerophon wrote:I read this post with great interest as it looks very similar to the problem I have, but the fixes don't apply.

I haven't had time to go through all the steps Steve gave as of yet. Maybe you can let us know either here or the other thread if you get this resolved? I am seriously thinking of reformatting as the same computer always ran VS x2 flawlessly before this with no hardware changes. That's just me though, I have a finite patience and have reformatted so many times it only takes a while compared to beating my head against the wall It always fixes my problems albeit the chicken way out. I keep my drives organized in a "reformat friendly" manner at all times.

He's running XP just like me. And in my case, this hardware configuration is known to work properly with XP and VSx2 until I reformatted.Ken Berry wrote:The problem with some of the older versions' transitions is that not all of them work with more recent versions, particularly if running under Vista... I couldn't say, however, whether the clock quarter one you mention is one of them...
