What is NFR Mean?

Post by klingon_master »

I saw on the internet someone selling a NFR Not For Resale version of VS X2 Pro. Is there a difference between the regular version and the VS X2 Pro? I never heard of the NFR version but maybe its cheaper or something.

You answer the question yourself as to what NFR means, not for resale, so this will ahve been given to someone, maybe an alpha/beta or pre-release version, so it may not be the same as the final version or it might have been given as a gift for a worthy cause, in which case it's immoral to sell it.

I think the NFR versions are normally full versions, but distributed free to, say, computer or video magazines or other people who might review it favourably.

But yes, skier has hit the nail on the head -- it was not for resale, and should remain not for resale...
