Dual Head Device

Post by jmark »

Hi VS Gang. I've done a search, and tried the help function in my VS11.5 +. Under File there is a choice of Preferences. Within Preferences there are many tabs to make adjustements. Under the General tab is a feature of "Instant Playback target". One of the selections are Dual Head Device. Though I check it i can not get the prevew to move to the other device. In this case a second monitor. I would like to set up my screens like Avid but i'm not sure VS can do it. I've read the explainations in this forum but can not seem to get it to work. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks.

Mark

PS yes i do have a dual monitor card and the other software, (not mentioned here) works well with preview on the second monitor. Thanks

Sorry i do not want to be an IT systems engineer. I want to edit videos. I can get an other video edit program to work fine with the preview full screen on the second monitor. No adjustements needed, just drag it to the second monitor. I can do that with anything I view, even the VS help menu. I'm using two montiors now, one as I write this, and the other as i edit in VS. I guess I'll hope for something easier in the future from Uled.
Thanks again

An IT engineer? Basically all those threads said is you need to make a settings adjustment in your video card.
