My system has also developed this problem tried an re install but that didnt cure it gona try an DirectX update as suggested by Ken and tried the patch but had no sucess in downloading it (could be as I am still running on the trial version).hanskru wrote:Hi VS friends,

Cannot start capture graph
HI there,
I did an unistall and install again, however the problem persits, still the error message "Cannot start the capture graph" The counter corresponding with the Cam recorder starts running, however the screen remains black.
I know that I can capture thru Windows Movie Maker or an older version of VS, but I think that VS12 should work with all its functios and capturing is one major one
So any more suggestions???

I agree with Steve. You've already wasted at least 3 days trying to figure this out when you have 2 viable solutions.
I, too, don't capture with X2. I prefer to use my VS10 for capturing, then I import the clips into X2 for editing.
