installing PSPX2 upgrade to PSP8.10 (Jasc)

Post by bobanjo »

I rc'd the PSPX2 Upgrade version box/CD. I have had the PSP7 & now have PSP8.10 (Jasc) installed. I'm not sure how to proceed installation of X2. Should I installX2 :

1) to the folders that presently contain PSP8.1 (on top of 8.1) ?
or
2) to new folders labeled for PSPX2 (separate location) ?
or
3) some other location ?

I would prefer 2) so I can keep my present set up in case I have trouble with the new installation. In glancing through the license I don't see any limitation on having 2 versions installed but since this is an upgrade I doubt this will work.

I checked the Corel site and searched this forum but didn't see any info on this subject (oddly enough).

Any advice is appreciated.

Stick with the defaults that X2's installation presents you with and you will get your second option. PSPP X2 will install to its own folder. You can have multiple versions of PSP on your computer. One of mine has every version from 4 to X2 on it, and they all work just fine.

Unless you need the space, keep your PSP version intact. 8 I believe was the last version with animation shop packaged. Depending on what you do, you may want that.
