I got a problem, I have a pioneer dreambook laptop that I want to do a capture to, the captue is a VideoMate C200 usb a/v capture stick, I have a picture, but can not get any sound, this is both the displayed video and in the recorded video, I have a second laptop witch it works on but to slow, the laptop that I'm trying to use has a realtek Hd audio card in it, looking though I can only find for the mic and nowhere else to adjust the recording featureI don't want to have to use a another lead to the line in jack, any idea on how this can be fixed.
Thanks
No Sound in capture

Is this in the Control Panel for your OS or just in VS11SE (bundled freebie) version ? You should be able to set your input recording options through the control panel of your OS..looking though I can only find for the mic and nowhere else to adjust the recording featureI don't want to have to use a another lead to the line in jack,

the os is vista ultimate 64 bit, and were I have been looking is in the control panel, I'm wondering if that it is a laptop if that is the problem, after looking i see that it has 2 sound cards, with the scond I think being used when the hdmi is pluged in.
I'm using video studio 11.5 but have also tryed video studio 11.5se and have the same problem, yet on the other 2 coputers it works with out a problem, one being a laptop and the other being a destop.

Hi
I have a Via HD Audio Deck.
When I open the control panel is see a Mixer tab, and a choice to select ¡¥Recording¡¦, this gives me the option to change the default recording device. (set to Mic)
I have four options, Mic¡¦, CD audio, Stereo Mix and Line in.
You could try them all one at a time, but I think you may need Stereo Mix.

On the mixer the only listed is the mic, I have tryed to unselect it but that did not work, I think the only way I can work it is to use the mic input on the side and not use the audio of the capture stick.
Of the 3 machines I tryed it on, 2 have the hd audio, but the laptop is the only one with the realtek and the only one with in built mic's.

After trying it again on one of the other machines, it turns out the the other one with the hdhas the same problem, but this is in video studio 11, yet program that came with it witch is video studio se, I have sound, any idea why there is no sound when video studio 11plus has no sound, and is there any way to get it working. I can't find any where to turn it on,
