Hello
The rendered burn sizes I am getting for AVCHD discs are way off from what the size bar at the bottom of the window in Share>Create Disc>AVCHD indicates prior to the rendering/burn. Without exception, the size that is shown on the green bar at the bottom of the window will indicate a size that is around 4-6 times as large as what is eventually burned onto disc.
I have tried a mixture of large amounts of video and sound (different types of both) , and it always indicates a size that is larger than what is eventually burned onto disc.
Until the last couple of projects, this bug has just been an annoyance. Now, however, I am trying to get very large projects burned and am being limited because VS says that the project is too big (on first entering the Share>Create Disc>AVCHD window, the project size indicates over 4.7 GB). Since VS thinks that the project is over 4.7 GB in size, it won't start the burn process.
Yet, even though I pare-down a project to just under 4.7 GB (so that VS will even burn the disc), the final rendered disc may only have 800 MB of info on it. So, I am certain that I could be getting much larger projects onto a disc, but VS won't allow it.
Has anyone overcome this bug, and do we know if Corel is aware of it? The only thing I can think to try right now is to create an AVCHD file, and then write that to a disc afterwards. Seems like a really hokey thing to have to do, though.
Thanks
RandS
