I have Vs9 and I have been making a few DVD's. I notice that when I go to create the TS folders that the project often take 3+ more hours to complete. Is this normal? I know that in VS7 (the last program I used) It's took maybe 90 minutes depending on the project.
Basically it's 90 minutes of video, a song for each title, screen menus and chapters.
I could swear that the first few discs I made did not take this long.
Does creating TS folders normally take 3+ hours?

I haven't timed UVS 8 and UVS 9 side-by-side, since I uninstalled UVS 8 almost as soon as I had UVS 9 installed, but UVS 9 feels faster to me during MPEG encoding and DVD creation than UVS 8 did. Maybe someone who still has both versions installed on the same system can do some benchmarking...
If you are starting with a non-DVD compliant MPEG2 file when you select "Create Disk", you could easily spend three hours doing the transcoding and multiplexing.

Jabroni4872,
When you load the video's into the burning module timeline it's much
better to already have them "Dvd Compliant", as stated in the sticky top
first post on the VS forum.
If your files are dvd compliant and do not need to be rendered the process
should take from 15 to 40minutes depending on the dvd size and speed
of your machine.
For you information it's not recommended to render and burn in the
VS output dvd creation screen. You create the dvd compliant file prior to
going into that module from the timeline.
Hope this helps,
MD
