pick up, drag to begining of video production and drop - ?

Post by lakewud »

A quick Yes > this is how OR Nope> sorry cant do question for you helpful chaps / chapess out there.

Videostudio 10+

Timeline, my project be it 10min or 1hour in length. I want to add say a video clip or indeed a photo ( or sound file ). I may want to add the clip early on in my production, however whenever I go to Insert the clip, videostudio automatically places the new clip right at the very end of my 10min or 1hour etc production hence having to trawl ALL the way near the start of the production to insert it.

Prey tell, how can i overcome this? Can i use..say the Shift button etc hold it down which is make me get to the beginning of the production quickly whilst still holding onto the newly imported clip etc.

Hope havent made a simple question appear difficult.

thanks in advance for any takers.

Hi Lakewud
If you have the second video clip in the library you should be able to click on it to select it then drag it to the front of the clip already in the timeline. It has to be in exactly the right place when you drag. Watch for the thumbnail picture of the clip you are dragging and make sure it is showing to cover the first clip. Hope that makes sense. If you still have trouble change to storyboard view and just drag the second clip to the front. Always seems easier to drag and drop in this view. Of course a sound file will not go into the video or overlay tracks anyway. They must go into the voice or music track.

Hi lakewud

I agree with John,
Switch to ¡¥Storyboard View¡¦ Drag and Drop the thumbnail from the library to the left of first clip.
