Multicamera work

Post by Doug2006 »

I have two clips of the same thing from two different cameras. I put one clip in the main track and one in the overlay track. I can cut out portions of the overlay track and then play the project and it is good in that I switch back and forth between cameras but there is no transitions. No fade from one to another. Can this be done and do I have to do a lot of manually tweaking for each one or is there a default that goes in every time I make a cut? Doug

You could do it the old way - before we had multiple overlay tracks.

No, you cannot transition between tracks ( ). The workaround is to put all your clips in the overlay tracks, overlapping them slightly, and using the Fade In/Fade Out buttons to simulate a crossfade transition. The main video track does not allow for the Fade In/Out, that is why you must use the overlay tracks.
