Import movie from CDs/VCDs to MF6 project?

Post by fred333 »

Hi all,
is it possible to import movie files which are burned on a CD or VCD to a DVD Movie Factory 6 project? Direct importing from folder is not allowed i see, and I tried to copy all files to harddisk in order to import from there... also not possible.

There must be some kind of trick?

thanks a million!

Can you use "Insert Digital Media" and then choose the folder "VIDEO_TS"?

...import movie files which are burned on a CD...
What format? You should be able to open an audio/video file on a CD just as you would a file on your hard drive. But, there are many format variations that can give Movie Factory trouble. Whenever I run into a "problem file", I convert it to MEPG-2 with SUPER (FREE!!!).
...or VCD...
I've never used VCD or SVCD... I don't know if Movie Factory can directly import from them.... If nobody has the answer, you might try simply renaming the .DAT file(s) to .MPG (after copying to your hard drive, of course). Or you can try SVCD2DVDMPG (FREE!!!), which claims to convert almost anything to DVD-compatible MPEG-2.

Hi,

thanks for your reply

mitchell65: yes, I can choose VIDEO_TS folder, but than message with error 0x80040458(1112) pops up

DVDDoug: it's a VOB file on the disc, I downloaded SUPER, and created a MPG (several cds and dvds I tried), but still MF cannot import them...
The other programme I can't even install on my pc, after unzipping and clicking .setup.exe a error message pops=up, just saying a error occurs...

perhaps I handle these solutions not right, but I'm no expert, so perhaps other solutions?
