Normalize volume
I think "Normalize" makes the volume the same level throughout video. But what level will be the norm or reference point that it sets all the other clips to. Does the clip I select become the norm. And can I normalize the narration track only? Not sure how all this works, and not much help in manual. Thanks! Mike

Keep in mind that perception of loudness is complicated. It's easy for a computer to adjust peak & average levels, but sometimes it takes manual "human" adjustments.
Commercial movies are mixed by ear (with an eye on the meters).

I prefer to normalise the audio by exporting the entire audio track as a WAV file. [Share] [Create Audio].
I then open that WAV file with Audacity and make any necessary adjustments.
Save the edited WAV file.
Open VideoStudio and either mute or delete the Audio track, placing the edited one onto one of the available audio tracks.
