There's a rather lovely time-saving feature for this
With the image open, go to the main menu and then File -> Email and select either Active Image if there's just one or All Open Images to send a whole bunch.
A dialog pops up which lets you choose how much you'd like to shrink the images for sending.
A little scroll bar under the image preview allows you step through each of your images and the dropdown box beside it lets you pick a size for each one. PSP will resize them just for emailling and won't mess with your original image at all.
You can shrink each one differently if you wish but by default, they'll all come up as "Medium (640 pixels)". This should mean that your email gets through okay on a slower connection or a more restrictive email account even if you have several images.
In the middle of the little dialog, a line of text shows that'll say something like "The size of your email is 100Kb". That's a really useful thing to know. Very large mails a few Mb (a few thousand Kb) will sometimes get turned away by some mailservers. Also, the bigger the mail, the longer it'll take to download on dialup. A Mb (about 1000Kb) is a pretty big deal on a dialup modem so I'd say aim to keep the size of your email to just a few hundred Kb.
If you find the mail is just too large, flip through the images and change some of the dropdowns from "Medium (640 pixels)" to "Small (480 pixels)". That'll be pretty dinky image, but it'll save a few Kb if you're really pushed.
Once you're done, just click Okay. If you use Outlook, it should pop right up with your email ready to go. Corel seemed to think it was a good idea to put some text about downloading the PSP demo version into your email but you can just blank that out before you send.
If you're not using Outlook you may occasionally get a message telling you that your "default mail client" is basically not up to the task. The message is nearly always wrong. Just click okay and everything should work fine.
