Starting a new project
I am still learning this program. I have a Question. When I go into paintshop and I click on file and then start new. There are different kinds of backgrouds that I can use. I can use a raster or Vector or Art Media. Well I can get the Raster and Vector to work but the Art media does not work for me. When I click on the art media that I want to use it comes up witha blank screen with no picture. What do I need to do to make this work?

What do you mean by no picture? Do you mean the document isn't being made? Do you mean the background is transparent (grey and white checkerboard)? Or do you mean that the canvas texture you chose isn't showing?
If the background is just transparent (white and grey checkerboard) make sure that "Enable Fill Color" is turned on and that will fill the background with the color selected.
The canvas texture is the texture that will appear when you use the art media tools like the oils brush, chalk, pastels, crayons, and such. Textures are only for the tools and don't show up themselves. You will see their effect as you draw with the tools. It's very neat.
If no document is being created at all....then I have no idea.
