New to the board

Post by Seadog »

Hello All;

I'm new to the board. I'm currently using Photoshop Pro X2. I have been using this product since JASC had it. I'm somewhat of a photo novice but I like the rich set of features to tweak photos when I need to.

I live in New Hampshire where I have an IT Consulting biz in my home office and teach at the local university part time.

I hope to learn a few things from others in this forum.

I will concur with some of the entries here though in that the program has gotten to "slug-ware" in that it's slow to start etc. Since I am also a Norton 360 user, I stumbled on that wonder little conflict bug between X2 and the 3.X version on Norton's. Drove me nuts till someone else noted the fix on the site. That was a BIG help! :o

PhotoShop Pro??? That's a typo isn't it?? :) :)

Welcome to the forums,

I've also used PaintShop Pro 9 (Jasc) and then jumped from that to the almost current PaintShop Pro Photo X2. Comparing the 2 versions, I agree the latter is very bloated, and acts sluggish. It does do a nice job though. Hey but what can we expect, since Corel touched it..;)

If you have questions or can help with solutions, please don't hesitate to jump right in. We look forward to your participation. If you would like to show off some of your work, we have a Member's Samples forum, where you can post some of your Corel works..
