Fellow Users of Corel VideoStudio and Paint Shop Pro: Hello.
Have been using PSP since it was PSP 9, now using PSP X2. Using Vista, it has become a better, more stable product, with each version. I have developed some of my own plugins to extend the features of PSP, but PSP is making it easier to do without external plug-ins. I have made plug-ins for patterned alpha masks, Gausian Blur of selected colors and regions, smeared ink and pencil effects, illumination fixes, a mosaic tool kit, and others.
VideoStudio X2 is used for making transparent walk-ons for websites. We have a green screen in the basement and VS provides the ability to use Chroma-Key tools. Unfortunately, VS does not support output of 32 Bit AVIs with an alpha channel. I use SWISH VIDEO 3 to create the Flash 8 with alpha channel from the 24 bit output from VS. Only problem I have is with the VS audio filters. I have given up using them. The Hiss filter adds hiss, the Click filter adds clicks. I export a wav file and use Audacity - it is a very good free tool.
Respectfully, Lance

Welcome to the forums Lance,

You understand quite well that one tool does not do everything. Several of us members use numerous different apps to reach our final product. I for one use Audacity as well as Swish products. Just the other day upgraded my SMax to SMax3.

If you need help or can provide some help, please don't hesitate to post. We also have a Member's Sample forum, where you can show off some of your Corel work..
